What becomes possible when we allow ourselves to return?

GATHER is not about escape — it's about returning. Returning to care. To community. To a slower, wiser rhythm that honors both giving and receiving.

Just in time for fall, as the days grow darker and nature calls us to embody the quiet strength to sustain.

We hope you’ll answer this invitation to slow down, take root, and remember.

Meet Your GATHER Crew

  • Sofia builds large scale community projects that bring people together and spark dialogue. She is the Owner & Co-Founder of Feral State Preventative Health and Movement Arts Research Center. She holds a Masters in Dance Education & Kinesiology and a BFA in Modern Dance. She spent 20 years running an K-12 Performing Arts Program in an Independent school, while maintaining her professional dance career through building content and programming for Brolly Arts; best known for pushing the needle on issues of social, climate, & racial justice through the performing and visual arts. She knows how to fill a room with willing people to confront pressing issues. Her one guiding belief: No matter the population, if you can lead people back to themselves while urging them to work collaboratively toward a common goal, you can create exponential momentum for positive change. Her committee work with the National Organization of Arts in Health allows her a front row seat to the development of a new more holistic  public health care paradigm while contributing to curriculum design and certification in a rapidly growing field. Sofia is best known to recklessly indulge in learning and experiential research with whole communities no matter the age or background. Certified in Yoga, Pilates, bodyArt NYC, Dance Education, Breathwork, Somatic Therapy, and Ballet Barre, she facilitates breath and movement in senior centers, rehab centers, corporate settings, prisons, hospitals, early childhood centers, schools, and colleges. Her ultimate goal: to build more resilient people and more vibrant communities through creation, movement and breath!

  • Sarah Reesor is a Dance Medicine Practitioner, somatic educator, and the creator of PHUNKRX—a raw, street-soul movement method for nervous system reclamation. Named Utah’s Best Instructor by ClassPass in 2019, Sarah went on to co-found PHunk Studio SLC. At La Europa Creative Arts School, Sarah weaves behavioral science, trauma-informed practices, and sacred movement in all her offerings. She is DBT- and CBT-trained, an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) working with autistic children, and an accredited member of IACTM and the International Transpersonal Therapy Network. As the founder of PHUNKRX, Sarah trains apprentices, hosts immersive workshops, and is currently building a curriculum that bridges somatics, dance therapy, and sacred expression. Her work centers nervous system safety, body sovereignty, and untamed embodiment—especially for neurodivergent, high-sensitivity, and ex-religious communities.

  • As a co-founder of Our Breath Collective, Reis has focused on teaching hundreds of curious students and facilitators the art and science of breathing in an approachable way. He believes that by combining an understanding of our physiology, psychology, and nervous systems with practices like breathing, cold exposure, and mindfulness, we can truly tap into our extraordinary power and potential waiting to be unlocked.

  • Thea has worked with schools in different parts of the world, in classrooms ranging from traditional academic settings to full experiential immersion for nearly 15 years. As a guide and facilitator, she’s focused on environmental and social awareness to help her students emerge with a greater sense of themselves, and respect for and connection to the natural world.

  • Shannia from the Diné (Navajo) and Nʉmʉnʉʉ (Comanche) tribe is an indigenous artist and performer from Salt Lake City, Utah. Traveling and sharing their culture is Shannia’s life. Since she took her first steps she has participated in a Native American Dance group that performed across the country. Her goal in life is to keep the Diné (Navajo) and Nʉmʉnʉʉ (Comanche) culture alive.

  • Tara Anderson is a Culinary Institute of America–trained chef who blends the science of nourishment with the art of hospitality. Raised on a farm in Western Kentucky, her “farm to table” upbringing laid the foundation for a career devoted to sustainable, purposeful food. As a former chef instructor in the culinary medicine space at UT Southwestern Medical School, she learned to champion food as a tool for healing, connection, and vitality.

  • Think of me as that friendly local who lives in and loves the town you are visiting, and wants to share with you what they love about that special place. That special place for me is the hamlet of the breath. Instead of showing you the local haunts, I guide you to explore the inhales, exhales, and pauses in between, and how your body moves alongside the breath so you can emerge into your fullest expression of you.
